World Cup Action - Uniting the world

Being able to experience World Cup in a country that had a team playing was a really amazing experience. Even though Slovenia tied it was a lot of fun to watch the locals get so into the game. It brought me back to watching the Gold Medal game for Canada vs. USA even though it was only a round robin game.

Wild and Crazy Adventures

During our stay in Cesky Krumlov, Tim and I did a three hour rafting trip down the local river. As proud Canadians we chose the canoe but were told that 90% of canoes don't make it past the first weir. Undeterred by these warnings of danger, we pressed on and conquered the mighty waters (much to the dismay of the watching crowds I might add).

Roots Shopping Spree

Thanks to Roots Canada for $500 to go wild and crazy at their Robson, Vancouver location. I've never had the pleasure of going into a store and buying anything and everything that I wanted. The best part of the whole experience was the sales clerks face when I came out of the dressing room with a pile of clothes and said "I'll take it all!" I think it made his day.

Euro Trip - Mini Clip #1

Even though adventure awaits, leaving can be hard sometimes. This mini clip is about an hour prior to departure to Calgary and then off to Frankfurt to get the trip started.

On my way to the airport I was convinced that I was going to get there and have them say, “Sorry there’s no record of you having a flight anywhere.” But, that was not the case and the next two weeks were jam packed with all sorts of fun and adventure.
